Water is the most important natural resource we have, its protection is our vocation.
Our mission is to provide top quality training, networking, and support to Water Renewal Operators in Southwest Idaho. We provide classes for CEUs at a very low cost to our members.

The 2025 Southwest Idaho Operator Section Award season is upon us!
SWIOS believes in the importance of recognizing those individuals who have gone above and beyond for their systems and we need your help to do that! It takes a couple minutes out of your day to nominate one of your coworkers. There are four award categories for wastewater professionals.
Who: Wastewater Operators, Wastewater Collection System Operators, Laboratory Analyst, and Wastewater Mechanics (maintenance).
How: Click on the Form or view below and submit the answers to the Board at SWIOSadm@gmail.com. The use of additional supporting statements is appreciated and not limited to the form’s spacing.
Limited: to SWIOS members with an active 2025 membership. If you are unsure of your status, reach out to SWIOSadm@gmail.com.
Forms are due by December 20th, 2025. Winners will be announced at the Annual Sponsor Appreciation and Collaboration Event held in January 2026.
Winners of the Wastewater Operator, Wastewater Collection System Operator, and Laboratory Analyst awards will be placed into consideration for the 2026 Idaho Operator Conference in May 2026. Winners from our partner organizations Southeast Idaho Operator Section (SEIOS) and North Idaho Operator Section (NIOS) are involved at this stage. Award winners for these categories at the Idaho Operator Conference are placed into consideration for the Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association annual conference where winners from Oregon and Washington are involved at this stage.
Our Training Schedule
We offer multiple trainings throughout the year. We also participate in a yearly conference sponsored by our sister organizations held in North, Southwest, or Eastern Idaho.
Ready for Membership
Beyond the strong networking of our community members are allowed to attend any SWIOS sponsored training for no additional cost than the membership.
